Solutions 4 Health (S4H) is benefitting from an ambitious art installation project aimed at bringing energy and vibrancy into the workplace environment.
‘Alternative Viewpoints’ is the culmination of many months of consultation with Reading-based abstract artist, Amantina Mahlia – and was officially opened by local business mogul and arts supporter, Sir John Madejski.
Amantina has designed or custom-selected art that is uniquely suitable for S4H and all the paintings will be on display for period of 10 weeks and are available for sale, with 10% of the proceeds allocated to a charity of S4H’s choice.
She explains, “My goal is to create a visually stimulating workplace environment that will inspire creativity, collaboration, and originality among S4H employees – and it’s timely given that this is Reading’s Year of Culture and it’s especially celebrating art and entrepreneurship.”
S4H Managing Director, Kishore Sankla, is delighted with the project and says: “I am thrilled that we have forged a partnership with Amatina and her team. We spend such long periods of our lives at work and our environment has a profound effect on our welfare. I believe (as Amatina does) that employees who work in colourful, stimulating surroundings are more likely to be fully engaged in their work; more willing to engage in creative, lateral thinking; and will experience increased workplace satisfaction.”
Sir John completed the opening ceremony by filling in the final brush strokes of shapes remaining on an abstract painting of Reading’s town centre silhouette – and signing it.
