World No Tobacco day is taking place on Thursday 31st May and Solutions 4 Health’s Stop Smoking and Integrated Lifestyle Services will be supporting the day across the country with events and activities to help smokers who would like to quit.
Every year, on 31 May, the World Health Organisation and partners mark World No Tobacco Day (WNTD), highlighting the health and other risks associated with tobacco use, and advocating for effective policies to reduce tobacco consumption.
The focus of World No Tobacco Day 2018 is “Tobacco and heart disease” highlighting the link between tobacco and heart and other cardiovascular diseases.
Our services provide free professional support to smokers, offering appointments in the community as well as motivational texts and phone support. Mobile clinics have venues across towns, allowing clients to drop in and see one of our approachable, fully trained advisors. Using this free support, smokers are four times more likely to quit.
