Solutions 4 Health has taken a number of steps to prepare for a ‘No Deal’ exit from the European Union. Whilst there is a high degree of uncertainty nationally, we have systematically analysed likely risks and taken steps to mitigate them where possible.
This statement is intended to reassure staff and partners that Solutions 4 Health is committed to minimising any possible disruptions caused by the United Kingdom’s departure from the European Union.
Our approach has been informed by the Department of Health’s ‘EU Operational Readiness Guidance’.
Supply of Medicines or similar
Solutions 4 Health supplies medication in connection with lifestyle and behaviour change, with the majority being Nicotine Replacement Therapy.
We will be purchasing 6 weeks stock of all medication before 29th March 2019 to ensure that we have enough to cover any disruption in our supply chains.
Other goods and consumables
Solutions 4 Health also purchases goods and consumables to facilitate the delivery of clinical and lifestyle services. These include CO monitors/ mouthpieces, Health Check kits, weigh scales and other spot items. We will be purchasing enough of these items to cover 6 weeks of service.
Data Protection
At a national level, there will be no change in legislation as the EU Withdrawal Act would incorporate the GDPR into UK law to sit alongside it.
As Solutions 4 Health does not transfer data to or receive data from the EU, we do not envisage any impact on our day to day work in relation to data protection.
Finally, we have undertaken a review of our policies, procedures and work force to ensure that we are fully prepared to continue providing clinical and non-clinical services on 1st April 2019. We will provide assistance to any staff who need it to ensure we have continuity of our workforce and can recruit high level talent into the business.
