Herefordshire Council has commissioned Solutions 4 Health as its new sexual health services provider, giving local people information and support to enable them to make better lifestyle choices and take control of their sexual health. Solutions 4 Health is an innovative national organisation that provides services designed to maximise health and wellbeing.
The integrated sexual health service will be a non-judgemental source of education, prevention, testing and treatment for everyone in Herefordshire, with a focus on innovative digital solutions. Available in a range of locations, the new service will improve access to sexual health services for people who are at greatest risk, with an increase in availability over a five-day week. The new service will commence on 1st April 2019 – a local consultation is underway to decide on a name.
Leena Sankla, Director of Public Health & Lifestyle Services at Solutions 4 Health said: “We are pleased to be the new provider of this innovative sexual health service for Herefordshire and are keen to give residents of the county the best possible chance of access to clinical and non-clinical sexual health services.”
Karen Wright, Director of Public Health for Herefordshire added: “Sexual health is an important part of physical and mental health as well as for emotional and social wellbeing. When we are sexually healthy we make the best decisions for ourselves with regard to our sexual partners and sexual practice. The council welcomes this new, innovative service to improve access and enable people to have better control over their sexual health and wellbeing.”
