We are delighted to have been awarded the contract as the provider of Stop Smoking Services for North Lincolnshire. As the sole provider we will be working with all partners to help over 6,000 current smokers, aged 16+, who live or work in North Lincolnshire, to become successful quitters and to reduce the current 22.9% smoking prevalence.
As of the 1st July 14, we will be providing an evidence based stop smoking service which offers a range of treatment options for current smokers / tobacco users which suits them. On offer is:
- Face to face support with or without NRT/medication
- Text and telephone support with or without NRT/medication
- Provision of evidence based advice
Our passion for reducing health inequalities will see us target, in addition, to the general population, the hard to reach groups including:
- Pregnant women
- Low income groups
- Routine and Manual Workers
- BME groups
Greg Gough, Public Health Specialist (advanced) at North Lincolnshire Council, acknowledges our core values, which will see us deliver an accessible and successful stop smoking service to the residence of North Lincolnshire:
“The council has awarded the contract to provide stop smoking support to Solutions 4 Health (S4H). S4H was both the most cost effective provider and is most able to meet our specific local needs. It is a very energetic, innovative and expert provider of stop smoking services and is able to provide the best possible support for North Lincolnshire. S4H will offer a flexible, free to use service using a range of support methods that will meet the needs of every smoker in North Lincolnshire.”
Frances Cunning, Director of Public Health at North Lincolnshire Council, said:
“We recognise that stopping smoking is the single most important thing that people can do to improve their health and to save money. The council has a public health duty to help its residents live healthier lives and wants to make it as easy as possible for people who want to stop smoking to quit. We are very pleased to have Solutions 4 Health (S4H) working alongside us for the good of North Lincolnshire’s residents.”
