Solutions4Health supporting North Lincolnshire Council ‘Going for Gold’
North Lincolnshire Council is working with Solutions4Health in its target of winning a Gold Award as a North Lincolnshire Healthy workplace.
Solutions4Health have launched a campaign today to help North Lincolnshire Council employees tackle unhealthy habits online 24/7 and anywhere using a smartphone, tablet or PC.
The ‘Want to get Healthier?’ campaign is proven to support everyone to live a little healthier by tackling those things we want to change but just find too hard.
From 1st October all council employees will be able to take advantage of the latest support and help online wherever and whenever convenient for them. By quickly registering their email details users will be invited to take a quick health habits assessment, this will indicate which areas a person could potentially benefit from having help and support in.
Employees who take up this free opportunity will typically spend 10-15 minutes a day using the interactive tailored online service. Designed and proven to help users target a wide variety of health and wellbeing problem areas. Quitting Smoking, Making Better Food Choices, Coping with Stress, Feeling Better (mood), Getting More Physically Active, Alcohol Awareness.
Importantly when dealing with personal lifestyle matters the service is confidential and details of participants will not be shared with anybody, including the council.
Kishore Sankla CEO of Solutions4Health said ‘”We are excited to be able to expand on our successful Smoking Cessation work with North Lincolnshire Council into the broader related areas of health and wellbeing. With this tool council employees will be able to tackle multiple negative heath habits, empowering them to set their own priorities, for example, a smoker may want to learn to cope with stress or about making better food choices before being ready to quit smoking.”
Cllr Rob Waltham, cabinet member for Health and Strategic Projects, said:
“This is a great incentive for employees to get healthy and active. There are many benefits to employees being healthy, for example they are more productive, which means they have less sick days.
There will be support available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for people to improve their lifestyle to ensure they are healthy. It is important that we all live healthily, but quite often when people have busy lifestyles it isn’t always that easy. This new service will provide that extra support and motivation. People can access it on any device at a time to suit them.”
