We are delighted to announce that that our Public Health Nursing 4 Slough team has been shortlisted for a Student Nursing Times Award! They have been nominated in the category “Student Placement of the Year: Community”
This award looks to recognise community settings that manage the anxieties associated with going on placement by providing a structured learning environment that helps students to flourish. This includes clearly setting out what students will be exposed to during their time on placement, and ensuring they are supported to learn, practise skills and gain wisdom from the wider team.
As part of the judging process, a member of our team will be required to present to a panel of judges at the Nursing Times Head Office.
In addition to this award, a member of our Public Health Nursing 4 Slough team has also been shortlisted as “Learner of the Year: Post-registration”. This award recognises the importance of registered nurses continuing to study and develop throughout their career.
Public Health Nursing 4 Slough provides an integrated 0-19 public health nursing service, and up to 25 years for individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). Our exemplary team of health visitors, school nurses, nursery nurses and health care assistants provides a supportive, focused and caring culture. The team provides additional support, resources, and innovative ways of working and are committed to building on the existing strong local foundation through established partnerships with the voluntary sector, primary and secondary care.
The winners will be announced at the Student Nursing Times Awards on Friday 26 April at the Grovesnor House Hotel, London. This event will bring together the nursing community to celebrate the achievements of the fantastic student nursing talent.
