Our FallsFree4Life team have been successful yet again!
‘Solutions 4 Health and Bracknell Forest Council were shortlisted for the
RSPH’s Technology & Health Innovation Award 2016. This was for the new
innovative FallsFree4Life service that incorporates breakthrough
Quantitative Timed Up and Go (QTUG – developed by Kenesis) test technology
in falls risk detection to prevent falls in older people (aged 60+).
The Technology & Health Innovation Award is one of the Health & Wellbeing
Awards. It is intended to showcase service improvements in NHS Trusts (in
hospital) including (but not limited to) pathway redesign, a training
course, redesign of a service, a public health campaign, a new device or
incorporation of a new technology into a service, and cost-saving
programmes associated with adoption of innovation.
To enter for this award projects and programmes included:
Innovations which relate to improvements in primary and community care
Digital health technology – apps and interactive websites
Innovations that are changing health care
Innovative healthcare technologies that are being used to improve the
delivery of healthcare
