Solutions 4 Health are pleased to announce that their NHS Health Checks Service Delivery Model has been shortlisted for a Local Government Chronicle Award (LGC) for providing services on behalf of Medway Council.
LGC is a local government publication which runs national awards annually for councils in the UK, recognising the efforts of local councils to deliver unique and high-quality services to local communities. This year 640 entries were submitted and Medway Council has been shortlisted in three categories, one of them being Public Health.
The nomination put forward for the Public Health Category is Medway’s NHS Healthcheck Project led by Kerri-Anne Collins. MyHealthCheck Medway is a free NHS health check for people aged 40-74 who have not had an NHS check before. Visits to local community centres are made in a mobile vehicle to encourage people to have important health checks which can pick up on vital signs that could otherwise go unnoticed. MyHealthCheck by Solutions 4 Health is an original and effective model which takes support directly to local people and we are delighted that this has been recognised.
The winner will be announced in March when the event takes place and will highlight the organisations who have demonstrated the best practice in the delivery of their projects and their achievements.
