Solutions4Health are proud to have partnered with a number of local councils to provide rapid Lateral Flow Test (or LFT) to those in the their local communities who are not currently displaying Covid-19 symptoms.
We currently support the following areas with LFT provision:
- Sandwell
- Dudley
- Slough
- Worcestershire
As many as one in three people who have coronavirus have no symptoms and may be spreading it without realising. The aim is to test people who do not have Covid-19 symptoms to identify those who are positive so they can self-isolate. This will stop them from passing on the virus.
These tests can reliably be used to detect individuals with the virus that we would not otherwise be able to find. Every positive individual detected can stop a chain of transmission once these individuals isolate for 10 days.
LFTs alone aren’t a silver bullet for stopping the spread of the virus. But they can detect the virus in large numbers of individuals in a rapid and timely manner. If used in combination with other vital infection prevention control measures such as wearing appropriate PPE, washing hands regularly and social distancing, they are another tool to allow people to have that vital time with those they love while helping to keep them safer.
